Our frozen raw pumpkin mince is human-grade, made in Great Britain and supplied by our sister company Coastal Cuisine Ltd. Pumpkin is a natural digestive aid providing a healthy source of fibre to your diet. Raw pumpkin can be puréed and mixed into cottage cheese or grated and used as a nutrient-dense topping for salads, chillis and baked goods. Cooked pumpkin is perfect for making pumpkin soup, pie and pancakes.
Raw pumpkin has a fresh, somewhat bitter flavour and a fibrous, stringy texture. It can be difficult to eat on its own so it’s usually puréed or grated.
Cooked pumpkin, on the other hand, tastes much sweeter. The taste is often compared to sweet potatoes or squash.
